Diagnostic Monitoring Unit

Train Real Time Data Protocol

 Wireless Simulators

Load Simulator

The Diagnostic Monitoring Unit Load Simulator module includes ten independent wireless processors (labeled 303 to 312).

Each wireless processor is able to simulate and send, with a TRDP ptotocol, five datasets of alarms and measurements of the train.

Each dataset is produced in compliance with the project specifications and sent on two different wireless networks with a prefixed rate (256 ms, 512ms and 1024ms).

By activating the switch corresponding to the train you want to simulate, the wireless processor connects to the access point, synchronizes with the NTC server and sends the datasets to the supervision server.

Alarms Simulator

The Diagnostic Monitoring Unit Train 301 and Train 302 modules are battery powered and have a wireless processor that manages the status of four alarms.

The wireless processor is able to read the status of the alarms (position of the associated switches), display it with the corresponding LED lighting up and send the dataset with the simulated alarms.

The position of the switches corresponds to the state of the alarms sent by the simulator to the supervisory system.

Batch Simulator

The Batch Simulator is a dashboard application for interfacing with the wireless processor that simulates the Diagnostic Monitoring Unit of one train.

With this interface it is possible to send each type of dataset (DMU Message Test funtion) and status sequences of the alarms defined in an excel file (DMU Sequence Test funtion).

This solution was developed to facilitate the debugger during systems integration.
